Secure servers, storage arrays, and edge compute with encrypted U.2, E3.S, and E1.S SSDs that pair AES-256 hardware full drive encryption with Cigent Pre-Boot Authentication. Servers deploy forward now, and the data on them needs protection that does not assume a data center.
Book a DemoProtecting enterprise data requires more than hardware full drive encryption (HWFDE) through a FIPS-validated or self-encrypting drive. Without Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA), encrypted drives automatically unlock during the normal boot process, making protected data available before the user or system has been validated.
Every Cigent secure drive is paired with Cigent Pre-Boot Authentication, creating an encrypted storage solution that requires validated authentication before the drive unlocks protected data. The drive provides hardware-based encryption. Cigent PBA controls access to the encrypted drive. Together, they help ensure sensitive data remains protected before the operating system loads and before unauthorized access can occur.
Self-encrypting drives provide hardware full drive encryption, but the drive is only part of the security model. Cigent includes Pre-Boot Authentication with every secure drive, pairing authenticated access control with hardware-level encryption.
Cigent secure storage solutions include drives listed on the NSA CSfC Data at Rest Component List, helping defense teams, OEMs, integrators, and program owners support approved layered data protection architectures.
Cigent supports multi-drive and RAID enterprise storage deployments across U.2, E3.S, and E1.S form factors, with additional M.2 2280 and SATA options often used in workstations, servers, appliances, and edge compute environments.
Cigent supports data sanitization capabilities that can be executed locally or remotely, helping teams reduce exposure when devices are lost, captured, retired, reassigned, or physically compromised.
Deploy, configure, update, and decommission Cigent protections across enterprise systems with repeatable workflows that reduce manual variation and help maintain consistent data protection across the fleet.
Cigent and its SSD partner, Digistor, partner with leading PC OEMs, including Dell, HP, Getac, and Panasonic. Complete CSfC-validated solutions are available directly when sourcing your PC.
Hardware Full Drive Encryption (HW FDE) combined with PBA. This is the outer layer of the dual-layer encryption approach mandated by the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Data-at-Rest (DAR) program and provides the first layer of defense. It includes:
Software Full Drive Encryption (SW FDE) for defense-in-depth. This is the inner layer of the dual-layer encryption approach mandated by the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Data-at-Rest (DAR) program. It provides independent protection after the outer layer has been unlocked. It includes:
Cigent U.2 secure SSDs are designed for enterprise systems that require high-capacity encrypted storage in servers, storage arrays, edge compute, and mission infrastructure. Paired with Cigent Pre-Boot Authentication, U.2 drives help protect sensitive data before the operating system loads and before protected storage becomes available.
Cigent E3.S secure SSDs provide enterprise-class encrypted storage for modern server and edge compute architectures. This form factor supports dense, scalable storage environments where performance, capacity, and pre-boot access control are critical to protecting sensitive enterprise data.
Cigent E1.S secure SSDs support compact enterprise and edge compute environments that require secure storage in a smaller enterprise form factor. E1.S gives teams another option for protecting sensitive data across modern systems where space efficiency, scalability, and secure access control matter.
Cigent M.2 2280 secure SSDs support a wide range of client enterprise systems, including compact servers, appliances, workstations, and edge compute nodes. For deployments that require M.2 storage, Cigent provides encrypted storage secured by Cigent Pre-Boot Authentication.
Cigent SATA secure SSDs provide an encrypted storage option for enterprise systems that continue to rely on SATA interfaces. They help teams extend hardware-based encryption and pre-boot authentication to fielded servers, appliances, workstations, and other enterprise environments.
